Hvalba (or in old Danish Kvalbø) is a Faroese village in the northern Southoy. In addition to Hvalba, Sandvík, the district of Nes and the inhabited island of Lítla Dímun belong to the municipality, which in 2014 had 636 inhabitants. In Hvalba there are landings on both sides of the island. There is a memorial in Hvalba, in memory of people who died at sea, at Lítla Dímun, in the bird's hills or in the culmination.
